Support for the Children Revalidation Centers of Gent and of Goes

Twenty sailors on bikes have taken up the challenge of riding some 320km for a charity. My friend François is collecting funds around this 3 day event for two children revalidations centers. One is based in Gent (Belgium), the other one is based in Goes (Netherlands). Overall the event is bringing some 20 cyclers along the tulip fields and the windmills of the lower lands.

A Wii Station for Goes - 2008

In this picture, you can see one of the investments made in 2008 in the Center of Goes.

This is a Wii station, an electronic gaming device which captures the movement of the player thanks to a kind of handheld remote control. Among the numerous games, are large set of them is related to sports and control of the movements: amplitude, speed, direction.

A selection of games are used at the Goes center to improve the childrens movement coordination. The variety of exercises is large enough to suit the likes of all, and of course training is suddenly much funnier than before!
