Support for the Children Revalidation Centers of Gent and of Goes

Twenty sailors on bikes have taken up the challenge of riding some 320km for a charity. My friend François is collecting funds around this 3 day event for two children revalidations centers. One is based in Gent (Belgium), the other one is based in Goes (Netherlands). Overall the event is bringing some 20 cyclers along the tulip fields and the windmills of the lower lands.

A Cyclist Tradition ?

I've just learned that last years Tour de France winner, Carlos Sastre, besides being an incredible multidisciplinary athlete, is also supporting social projects.
Last year a €10.000 check was handed to a children hospital in Belgium. He also sold his jersey for some €15.000 to support his charity for needy children. Check this article on "Mild Stallion" blog.
